About me.
I’m mostly a home-baked and late-blooming poet, though I did indeed graduate with a BA in English Writing (Poetry Concentration) from the University of Pittsburgh in the aughts. Lately, I’ve been working on various writing and gardening projects as well as my own literary citizenship. I love connecting and celebrating with fellow creatives, so HMU at the bottom of this page if you want to request a blurb, trade books, reviews, or ideas! If you’d like to do a Review Exchange with me, please fill out the Google Form.
I’ve been happily nominated for both 2025 Best of the Net and Pushcart, and for 2026 Best of the Net. My poems can be found scattered in various literary journals and anthologies, both in print and online.
I’m the author of four chapbooks: Cold rain in Pittsburgh (Bottlecap Press 2024), The Oracle’s Voicemail (Alien Buddha Press 2024), The TV Guide (Alien Buddha Press 2024), and irl ( Stanchion 2026), as well as two micro-chapbooks: insecure lovesong (Maverick Duck Press 2024) and rowhouse song (Ghost City Press 2025), both of which are available as free downloads.
I’m the founder and editor of the engine(idling, an online litmag established in 2023, and also a reader for both Kitchen Table Quarterly and Philly Chapbook Review.
For fun, I run a very small Etsy store called The McThrifty, for which I design and sell print-on-demand items riffing on the theme of “vintage metamorphosed.”
I want to sluice
through satin
ribbons of sunlightI want to race beneath
the jointed stilts, the stares
of sunflowers
I want to eat black soil
and yellow starbursts
like cake
